Repino, St Petersburg

International Conference “Renewable Plant Resources and Organic Chemistry” (RR-2013).
This is a Satellite Conference in All-Russian Cluster of Conferences on Organic Chemistry (OrgChem-2013).
St Petersburg, Repino, Russia, June 19-21, 2013

   Dear Colleagues,
we are glad to invite you to take part in the International Conference “Renewable Plant Resources and Organic Chemistry” (RR-2013)!
This is the second conference on Chemistry of Renewable Resources. The first one, RR-2011, “Renewable Wood and Plant Resources: Chemistry, Technology, Pharmacology, Medicine” was held in St Petersburg, Russia, in June 2011.
Global problems of energy and fuel use, depletion of organic fossil raw materials attract a great attention in society and science. Rational utilization of wood, plant and other renewable resources may help to dissolve these significant problems. Renewable resources provide a vast selection of low molecular-weight and polymeric organic compounds such as cellulose, lignin, terpenes and polyprenols, which can be further transformed into numerous valuable products.
The Conference is focused on fundamental and applied aspects associated with the use of woody and plant raw materials as sources of organic compounds, to produce new substances and materials with valuable properties and applications.  The participation of representatives from various countries will promote a fruitful exchange of ideas, the strengthening of international cooperation and involvement of scientists in international research projects and programs.  Additionally, the Conference will provide a professional assessment of the future economic and industrial prospects of these goals.
You are welcome to St Petersburg, Russia!
