Excursion to the Moscow Kremlin
Inextricably linked to all the most important historical and political events in Russia since the 13th century, the Kremlin (built between the 14th and 17th centuries) was the residence of the Great Princes and also a religious centre. Since 1991, the Kremlin has been the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation. The ensemble of the Moscow Kremlin has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Its monumental walls and towers, golden-domed cathedrals and ancient palaces stand high on the Borovitskiy Hill above the Moskva River forming a magnificent architectural ensemble.
The Moscow Kremlin is deservedly called the heart of the capital, it may serve an excellent beginning of learning about the city, or a pleasant extension of acquaintance. Excursion at the territory of the Kremlin will give an idea of its history and significance for the country. You will see its famous towers, the Tsar Cannon and Tsar Bell and Cathedral Square with its cathedrals (Assumption, Archangel's and Annunciation).
