St. Petersburg State Technological Institute (Technical University)
It was founded on November 28, 1828 during the first years of the reign of Emperor Nicholas I, and later in 1896, the Institute was named after him.

HERALD (Hooking together European Research on Atomic Layer Deposition) is a European collaboration aiming at to structure and integrate European research activity in ALD, bringing together existing groups, promoting young scientists and reaching out to industry and the public.
It supports collaboration through lab visits, workshops and training schools. HERALD is an action by the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST), a framework supporting transnational cooperation among researchers, engineers and scholars across Europe.
